My first published video!

Blessed morning everyone!

I wanted to share a short video of my recent adventure but it’s not directly uploading on WP. I believe it has to do with my account plan. If anyone thinks otherwise, please let me know :-).

I found an alternative way. I created a youtube channel and here’s the link to the video. Enjoy!

Adventure Time

I have a week off school and though this should be a study period, I decided to take two lazy days doing the things I so love before getting back to my academic routine. It’s road trip time!

Early this morning I took a 3-hour ride with my mom and sister to Yamoussoukro, the political capital of Ivory Coast. Yamoussoukro can be summarized in one word: everything! The touristic city is a blend of traditional and modern attractions that brings together various nationalities to the coast of ivory riches.

Welcome To Yamoussoukro!

Our mechanic was the driver and tour guide. So I have a little time to write this random article while singing along the heavenly South African song that was kept on replay. As I sat in the back, admiring the greenland & expanding my lungs with fresh air, I am reminded of my wise decision to move here. There is so much diversity here and I can easily escape one world into another.

Just because it felt right lol

Clearly one of my ancestors lol

In Yamoussoukro, we visited some very historic places. There were only a couple of other visitors because it’s the beginning of the week and people already returned home from their weekend tours. We had the town to ourselves and that was perfect for us :).

My favorite part was visiting the Basilica. This religious monument was constructed from 1985 to 1989 and inaugurated in 1990. This amazing work of art is the vision of the first Ivorian president Félix Houphouët Boigny and it is the biggest ever in the world, followed by the basilica in Rome, Italy. Since then, Pope John Paul II has visited Ivory Coast three times and resided in a house next to the famous basilica, built especially for popes and saints visiting.
